The lie of Lordship salvation needs to be preached against in every church that is awake to righteousness. It is so subtle, but it is NOT the simple gospel of our Lord Jesus(2 Corinthians 11:3). The devil was subtle enough to deceive Eve, he is subtle enough to lead many to the lake of fire for eternity for corrupting the simple gospel.....ANY teacher who teaches Lordship salvation is a false teacher! I would suggest the body of Christ be VERY careful when preaching the gospel. As unpopular as it may be today, we are commanded to expose these corrupt variant gospel messages, because sadly, many will go to the lake of fire for eternity for believing "another gospel"(Galatians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 11:4).
It's sad that Ray Comfort can be right on so many issues and yet mess up the most important doctrine in the Bible! John MacArthur teaches Lordship salvation too which makes him a heretic! John M. and Ray C. are horribly deceived individuals who do not rightly divide the Word of truth! These men are very popular today in the church, but God doesn't measure anyone by how popular they are in the eyes of men, but by the very Word of God itself:
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
I consider this verse below to be one of the saddest verses in the Bible, because it says that MOST of the world will end up going to hell. They will be going there because of false religion, corrupt gospel messages preached in churches, their own self righteousness, etc....
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23
"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40
The devil is hard at work deceiving unsuspecting souls within our churches. The people in Matthew 7:21-23 thought their profession of faith in Christ AND their wonderful works for Him would get them into heaven! They thought they were on their way to heaven, just to find out the devil tricked them! These people are doomed to hellfire for ETERNITY! This is horribly sad. They failed to do the will of the Father and BELIEVE in Christ ALONE as the Scriptures CLEARLY say(ie: John 3:16-18, Ephesians 2:8-9). It's either 100% Christ or 100% works(Romans 11:6). Man can either trust completely in Christ, or remain condemned to hell. Forget about what the Lordship salvation preachers say, they are heretics, leading people to the lake of fire...Lordship salvation and a host of other variant "works" gospels fit this Matthew passage well. This passage is a warning, to obey the will of the Father, or stand condemned one day! Mixing in works with faith for salvation is NOT obeying the will of the Father!
ANY preacher/teacher who teaches Lordship salvation are heretics! It's so sad that this devilish lie is spreading like wildfire in the churches. If you've always thought that you are going to heaven because you've reformed(turned away from sins) and obeyed Christ, you have been horribly deceived. It's not too late. Christians serve/obey Christ BECAUSE they are saved, not in order to get saved! Please don't be the people in Matthew 7:21-23. Christ helps us turn away from our sins as Christians. If man would simply believe on the Lord, by trusting in Him and not their own commitments, the Lord will help them commit their lives to Christ as Christians. Man doesn't do the changing, Jesus does!
